# Find a lead and review the right account

Let's find a lead and review the right creditor account. We'll use Jordan Training, a fictitious person in our demonstration. Start with the whole screen. At the upper left, choose LMA for lead intake and follow-up. In that same left menu, choose Search.

The search form opens beside the navigation menu. Find the Client ID field, just below First name. Enter the client ID for the person you need to find. For Jordan, it's the number shown here. Next, select Filter to run the search. A result appears below the form. Compare the name and ID with your instructions, then select the linked client ID to open Jordan's record.

The record opens with its identity at the top. Check the name and client ID together, so you know you're in the right person's record. The phase here is Lead, which tells you where the record is in the workflow. The agency is Demo Agency 2; make sure it matches your assignment. Assigned To is Unassigned in this example, so no staff member is shown as responsible. If the identity or context is wrong, stop and check before making changes.

Now let's locate the creditor account. Begin at the record tabs and select Creditors. Inside Creditors, the Accounts tab is selected, and the account list appears below. Look under Accounts in Program for the Training credit card. Its masked account number ends in zero zero zero one, and the balance is five thousand dollars. Confirm those details against your task instructions. You've found the intended account while staying in Jordan's record.

What if a search returns no records? First check the client ID for a typing error, then review the other filters before trying again. An empty result alone does not mean you should create a new lead. The key is to match the person, check the context, and verify the account details. Use the chapters to revisit a step whenever you need a refresher.
