# Work follow-up tasks and disposition a lead

A useful follow-up tells the next person what to do, for whom, and when. In LMA, open My Tasks and confirm the assignee and Agency filters. Here, the Call Back filter isolates Jordan's fictitious example. Read the due date and note, then open the client. Before any contact, review prior notes and the person's communication preferences. An attempted contact and a completed conversation are different outcomes.

To schedule follow-up, open the client's Tasks tab and choose the appropriate task from Select a Task to Create. For our example, choose Call Back. Set Assigned To and the Date Due, including the time. Our saved callback is assigned to CMA Admin for September eighth at ten in the morning. The note explains that budget questions need review. Select Submit to save the task. Leave this task open until its scheduled work is finished.

Record what actually happened in the client's Notes. Our demonstration note explains the budget assumptions and the scheduled next step; it does not claim a real conversation took place. Reopen Tasks and check the saved row. Jordan's callback shows the owner, due date and Pending outcome. After the real work is done, use the appropriate completion action and review any tasks or communications it creates. Completion can start the next part of the configured workflow.

When a lead needs a different disposition, use the action authorized for your role. Send to QA opens a reason and comments form. Choose the reason that matches the facts and explain the unresolved issue. This prepared example requests review of incomplete paperwork; it has not been submitted. After an actual disposition, reopen the record to verify the phase and remaining tasks. Keep three habits: state the outcome accurately, give the next action an owner and date, and verify the saved result.
