# Prepare a DMA creditor account

Prepare a creditor account by checking identity, delivery, and terms in that order. Open the client's Creditors tab, choose Accounts, and select the debt you need. This is Casey Training's fictitious Capital One account ending twelve thirty four. Confirm the creditor match, client or co-applicant ownership, masked account number, and Account Status. Accounts excluded from the program should not be treated as active program debts. Read the account itself before relying on a list total.

Next, verify where each instruction will go. DMP Biller ID is for electronic proposals. Check this destination when preparing the creditor’s enrollment instructions. DS Biller ID is for electronic disbursements. They serve different purposes, so check both against the approved creditor information. For an address-based route, verify the appropriate proposal and payment addresses. Our example has blank biller links and no creditor address. It is not ready for transmission. Automatch can suggest a candidate; it does not replace checking the creditor and account.

Now review balances and program terms. This saved example has a Confirmed Balance of four thousand dollars, dated September seventh. Its Program Monthly Payment is seventy three dollars, and Program APR is blank. A blank rate is unknown; it is not a confirmed zero-percent rate. Proposal Status is Queued. New accounts use the configured default, with Queued as the fallback. For an eligible account, Compute Program Monthly Payment can recalculate the payment and a configured program APR. Review both before saving.

Special hardship terms need their own review. For less-than-full-balance hardship indicators A or C, check the percentage, repayment months, and Target Balance against the approved terms. Target Balance supports payoff tracking; Confirmed Balance remains the actual creditor-provided balance. Save with Update Client Creditor, then reopen the account. Confirm the values that changed and the routing still needing work. This example verifies a saved balance, but its missing delivery details must be resolved before the separate proposal workflow.
