# Send proposals and resolve creditor responses

A proposal asks the creditor to accept the client's program terms. Start on the client record and open Creditors. Verify the account number, creditor, proposed monthly payment, and eligibility against the approved paperwork. This example is still being prepared: the RPPS destinations are blank, so it is not ready for electronic delivery. Complete the routing and resolve missing information before sending. A Queued status identifies planned work; it does not mean the creditor has received or accepted a proposal.

For a manual proposal, open Paperwork, then Creditor Paperwork. Select the intended creditor in the correct print or fax and email list, then select the approved proposal letter or package. Verify its contents and destination before Process Letters or Process Package. For a recognized proposal document, CMA can record Pending status, the last proposal date, and an increased proposal count. Those updates do not prove acceptance. For RPPS delivery, use DMP Proposals RPPS, review the eligible Company accounts, then follow the approved generation and transfer procedure. No proposal is sent in this demonstration.

Process the received RPPS return file and read its results before changing an account. CDA records creditor acceptance. CDR records rejection, so read the reason and any counter-proposal amount in the task note. CDT records termination and requires follow-up. Other responses can verify a balance, report an account change, or carry a message. Check the matched account and any created task. If an import has errors or unmatched records, assign the investigation. An unanswered proposal remains work to track; do not treat silence as approval.

Finally, separate the creditor's response from the client's decision. A proposal offer in the Client Portal asks the client to approve a payment increase. Client acceptance is not the same as the creditor's RPPS acceptance. A changed monthly payment may also require adjustment of pending or transmitted payments, so review the resulting tasks. Confirm the saved account, document the response and supporting reference, and leave the next action with an owner and date. That makes the proposal traceable from preparation through resolution.
